    Chart PlotterA chart plotter is a combination of a GPS receiver, electronic nautical charts, and navigation software. It shows the user their location on the chart, and allows them to track the position, speed, and heading of their boat. Charts will display any important  information needed for navigation, including features above and below the water that could be hazardous.
