We have a new VHF antenna to add to our range, the Shakespeare V-Tronix 426-N. This great value VHF aerial is designed for use on motor boats and RIBs. It is a single section 1.2 meter antenna, constructed as a tapered fibreglass tube with a copper cable element at its core. At the base is a tough ferrule made from a durable nylon material. The Shakespeare V-Tronix 426-N comes with 6 meters (just under 20 feet) of RG-58 cable, and a Shakespeare PL-259 plug for the back of your VHF set. The antenna fitting is a standard 1 inch x 14 TPI thread.
The Shakespeare V-Tronix 426-N can be fitted to your boat with one of the two optional antenna mounts from Shakespeare. The Shakespeare 495-B is a 'Lift-n-Lay' mount that allows you to lower the aerial out of the way easily and quickly for passage under a low bridge, or when the boats covered. The popular Shakespeare 4186 is a traditional VHF antenna ratchet mount, constructed from solid nylon with a lever action to make setting the aerial easy.
