Icom IC-M91DLaunched at the 2012 London Boat Show, the new Icom IC-M91D is the much waited for innovative handheld VHF radio. It features an integrated GPS and full DSC functionality, allowing you to send and receive DSC communications.

The integrated GPS device can also be used to navigate a route, with its waypoint/compass function, and the man overboard function uses the GPS to quickly record the time and position of the boat, aiding search and rescue services.

The Icom IC-M91D is waterproof to IPX7 standards, and will float if dropped overboard. It features Icom's Float'n Flash system; when dropped in the water the radio will float with the screen facing up, and start to flash. This makes it easy to spot even in rough conditions.

The radio features a large easy to read dot matrix display, and a loud 700mW speaker. Active Noise Cancelling Technology reduces background noise by up to 90%, make communications clearer and easier. The Aquaquake function can be used to expel access water from the speaker.

Icom have developed a new user interface for their radios, designed to make them easier and quicker to use. The IC-M91D is the first hand held VHF to use this system which features directional keypad to provide simple intuitive operation.

The IC-M91D also features all the standard features you'd expect on a Icom handheld, including excellent ergonomics and Dual Watch and Tri-Watch systems. The radio is also ATIS Programmable.

The Icom IC-M91D will be available in stock from June 2012, or you can back order yours now to reserve one of the first batch. If you can't wait why not look at our other sets on our handheld VHF radio section, or our other VHF radio equipment.
